La Porte Park and Recreation Department continues to host a new popular class in coordination with Parties on the Gogh owner, Kristi Chadderdon. The upcoming class is listed below. Class size is limited in size and require masks and social distancing. Pre-registration is required for the class by calling the Park Office (219-326-9600) weekdays between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The Cricut® 101 class has a fee of $35. Participants should bring their Cricut® machine, cords, standard grip cutting mats and device/laptop they use. Instructor will have a Cricut® machine and laptop for her demonstration. Before attending classes, please create your own FREE Design Space account at cricut.com. Bring your login information with you to class. Because of the small sized classes, they fill up early! Register now!

Cricut® 101 teaches the basics including how to operate the machine and software. Some topics this class will include: machine basics, using the mat and blade, software, connecting the machine, cutting with the machine, and much more! This is a 2-hour absolute beginner class. You will walk away feeling confident in using the machine and will make a cute shamrock pinwheel to display on St. Patrick's Day. All supplies and reference handouts are included in the fee. Cricut® 101 will be held on Saturday, February 27, from 10 a.m.-noon in the Ceramics Room of the Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge Street.
