Our Mission
The mission of Bolt for the Heart is to save lives by education, financial assistance and direct support in placing lifesaving AEDs into the hands of our Law-Enforcement heroes.
Why we run.
Our annual Bolt for the Heart family run events raise funds to support our efforts in the placement of AEDs in a lifesaving effort of people who experience sudden cardiac arrest.
The problem
Ninety-five percent of those who suffer from (SCA) die because CPR and AED occur too late, if at all. If CPR and an AED are applied within 5 minutes, at least 40,000 more lives a year could be saved.
Our Solution
Bolt has helped place over 3,000 AEDs placed throughout Indiana.
