The La Porte High School Marching Band placed 4th at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Scholastic A Class State Championship Finals. The state finals were held October 21 at Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis. With seventeen bands competing for the class state championship the top five finishing bands were announced as follows:
- Warren Central
- Lafayette Jefferson
- Fort Wayne North Side
- La Porte
- Pike
The La Porte Marching Band will hold its annual awards night dinner October 30 at 6:00 PM in the LPHS Cafeteria.
