On January 24th, 2024, volunteers across Northwest Indiana will come together to count the number of people experiencing homelessness in our communities. The Point in Time (PIT) Count provides a snapshot of homelessness in our cities and counties. Northwest Indiana depends on an accurate PIT Count for adequate funding to address homelessness.
Our volunteers drive the success of our PIT Count. We depend on your help to capture our community needs and make sure every one of our neighbors experiencing homelessness is counted.
What Does it Mean to Become a Volunteer?
Volunteering for the PIT Count is a unique opportunity to engage with and serve our community actively. It is a chance to show compassion, make a positive impact, and contribute to the well-being of those who are less fortunate. No special skills are required – just your willingness to lend a helping hand and make a difference.
