Good food, good friends, and good music. What better way to celebrate holiday cheer!

The Mix, Mingle and Jingle party has become a Christmas tradition for Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, as well as many businesses and groups in the area. All are welcome at the annual celebration where fine foods, drinks, and desserts are served.

A decadent buffet of seafood and prime rib followed by a flavorful spread of treats and an open bar can’t often be outdone. As the newly built Fremont Ballroom filled to near capacity, the band Ultrabeat got the crowd moving.

Sales Manager, Cathy Horning, has worked at Blue Chip Casino for 18 years and looks forward to this event every year.

“You get a table for your group size, so the smaller groups can enjoy the festivities of a big party and still be with their coworkers or friends,” Horning said. “It’s been a big success every year. We had it in a smaller room when we first started, and now we’re almost at capacity at our new facility. People come back time and time and time again.”

Jake Wellsand and Cindy Williams have been attending the Mix, Mingle, and Jingle for four years with their company, Bloomfield Mechanical. For them and 30 to 40 of their co-workers, it’s something everyone looks forward to every year.

“It’s sort of a tradition for us now I guess,” Wellsand said. “I love being able to drink and hang out with our co-workers and their families.”

Lou Piludu, a real estate broker with Blackrock Realty, and his wife Donna, a nurse of 25 years, were also in attendance with their business. As their first year attending the mix, Lou and Donna were loving every second.

“This is a great party, I love it,” Donna said. “It’s beautiful.”

“This is wild, I can’t wait to get things started. I think this is an amazing hotel and this conference area is just gorgeous,” Lou said.

Scott Thompson and his wife Wendy wanted to try something new with their company Christmas party this year and decided to sign up for a table. With only five employees in total, it was nice to be a part of a bigger party.

“Last year we couldn’t do anything because I was in the hospital, so we wanted to do something a little extra special this year,” Thompson said. “I didn’t think it was going to be set up this nice. This is a great place!”
