on a Watershed Walk with Mary Nell
Join naturalist Mary Nell Murphy for a relaxing stroll through the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve. Learn about the area’s history, look for migrating birds, identity trees, hunt for unique native plants, and maybe spot some steelhead trout in the creek! Join Mary Nell for the approximately one mile long hike. Stay tunes for future dates in this series of educational hikes in 2019.

Mary Nell Murphy moved to NW Indiana when she retired in 2017 and loves it! She and her husband enjoy birding and traveling and exploring Hoosier territory. Meet this delightful docent on the trails at Coffee Creek.
The mission of the Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy, Inc. is to identify, maintain, and enhance the remnant biodiversity of the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve, while providing educational and recreational experiences for all. The non-profit organization owns the 157-acre Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve which encompasses over 5 miles of trails, a 3,300 square foot picnic Pavilion, and the Chesterton Amphitheater. The Preserve is open to the public 365 days a year.
