Franciscan Health schedules additional emergency blood drive

Event Information

With an emergency need for blood, Franciscan Health will host an additional Versiti Blood Center of Illinois blood drive at its Michigan City hospital on Jan. 28. This drive is in addition to upcoming drives at the Franciscan Health Munster and Crown Point hospitals in February. The upcoming blood drive is as follows:

7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Franciscan Health Michigan City, 3500 Franciscan Way, in the Blessed Maria Theresia Bonzel Community Room.

Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled by going online at versiti.org/IL or by calling 1-800-7TO-Give (1-800-786-4483) and choosing your preferred time. Walk-ins are also welcome. Identification is required.

Versiti Blood Center of Illinois serves 63 hospitals in a 12-county area in Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana and collects more than 155,000 units of blood annually.
