The public is invited to view the artwork of Madeleine Schooley during a reception on Sunday, August 8. Her acrylic style of painting is representative of curvi-linear lines and objects, stained-glass windows and the art nouveau period with influences from Picasso, Matisse, Tiffany and Klimt. Madeleine works in a strong sense of lines, shapes and color.
The artwork is on display at Queen of All Saints’ Legacy Center, and the event will take place between Sunday morning Masses. All are welcome to meet the artist and purchase pieces or notecards from 8:30 am to noon. Complimentary coffee and sweets will be served.
The Legacy Center is located at 1719 E. Barker Ave. in Michigan City.
