Fabulous fashions revolutionize the Lubeznik Center this Saturday afternoon. See one-of-a-kind clothing designed by emerging young designers from regional fashion schools and participate in Peoples’ Choice voting for your favorite designer.
This high-energy show featuring amazing designs turns the Hyndman Gallery of the Lubeznik Center into a high fashion runway as you view amazing new designs by the best young designers featuring clothes inspired by ‘Memoirs of a Geisha,’ butterflies, masked balls, and even the dark side of ‘Little Red Riding Hood.’ After a short intermission, Silver Moon Bridal of Chicago takes the runway with vintage and vintage inspired wedding gowns designed by Liz Meyer. When Meyer is not designing wedding attire, she costumes rock bands such as Aerosmith.
RUNWAYrevolution also marks the introduction of the Gallery Shop’s bridal registry and expanded offerings in functional art, allowing guests to browse and purchase artful choices in wedding gifts or begin their own registry that day. "Artists featured in the Gallery Shop specialize in handcrafted one-of-a-kind décor and accessories,” said Gallery Shop Director, Esther Guncheon.
Admission to RUNWAYrevolution is $35 in advance and $40 at the door for the general public. LCA members receive a $5 admission discount.
