Zoo-B-Que at the Washington Park Zoo Set for July 26

Washington-Park-Zoo-LOGOThe Washington Park Zoo will host its annual Zoo-B-Que fundraiser on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. at the Zoo.

Enjoy a barbeque buffet dinner and experience the sights and sounds of the zoo at night! Activities include a silent auction, special up-close animal encounters, a magic show by Matt Kalita and a barbeque style dinner.

This year’s event will also include a special VIP feature that allows guests to get a sneak peek viewing of the newest zoo family members: twin white Bengal tiger cubs (who won’t officially make their public debut until late August 2014.) The two male tigers were born at the zoo in May and have been off display while being cared for by their mother, Zusha.

All proceeds will be used for continued keeper education/training and animal care projects. We are also looking for event sponsors and donated items that can be added to the silent auction.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are limited. Prices are: Adults/$15.00, Children (ages 3-12)/$7.00 each, and Children under 2 are free. There will be a cash bar serving soft drinks and a variety of beer and wine.

This event sold out last year and is going to be fun for the whole family, so be sure to get your tickets today. Tickets can be purchased at the zoo office or by phone at 219-873-1510. For more information please visit www.washingtonparkzoo.com
