Worthy Women Recovery Home (WWRH), a local women’s reentry program, will sponsor a Business after Hours event on Thursday, October10th.
The Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce will administer the Business after Hours event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Worthy Women Recovery Home, 1001 Maple Avenue, La Porte.
There is no cost for this event for Chamber Members. Mix, mingle, munch and come see the progress that has been made on the building.
“The mission is to open our home for former female inmates who want a safe, secure, and sober environment; the building is only a task, but a large task. Worthy Recovery Inc. provides evidence based programs in the jail and in our community. We are building this recovery home because of the critical need we see. Healing people heals our community providing a healthy workforce for business owners. Seeing is believing; Join us for a tour of our Major progress and for the Hope we have for our community”, stated Sonshine Troche, President of WWRH.
WWRH currently under construction, is a Christian home that provides recently incarcerated women with re-entry programs and the tools necessary to reduce recidivism rates, substance abuse and addictions, and to empower them to live as positive role models for their children and in their community.
