The WORTHY Recovery ROCKS! Event last year brought over 400 people in and 70-80 were teenage participants. This year we hope to have twice as many with the added features of a Motorcycle Ride and PATH - A Positive Approach to Teen Health presenting what they do in the schools in the seven counties they serve. There will be food, games for kids and teens, early morning motorcycle ride that will end at the fairground, music, recovery testimonies, and much more.
We are hoping you will help us support a sponsor level to help us make Recovery ROCKS! Amazing on August 30, 2014. Printing, email blasts, newspaper ads, billboard, building rental, event insurance, game rental, bounce house, food and drinks make up the bulk of the $3500-$4000 we will spend.
I sure do hope you can support our efforts to educate and encourage La Porte County in our fight against substance abuse addiction. Lets proclaim September 2014 as Recovery Month locally, as it is celebrated nationally. I hope you will be able to have a booth again this year.
