Women in Leadership of LaPorte County recently presented a check for $500 to the LaPorte County Career and Technical Education program, in support of the "N.E.W. (Non-traditional Employment for Women) Conference."
The annual conference, which introduces middle school girls from across the county to careers in which women are typically under-represented, was held at the A. K. Smith Center in Michigan City on October 17.
