March is here, which at the high school starts the countdown to the End of Course Assessment (ECA) for Biology, English 10, and Algebra 1. This month also signals the countdown to our graduation ceremony which will take place this year on Sunday, June 7, at noon. Graduation information will be sent home and made available on our website at the end of this month. At 94.4%, our attendance rate last year was the second highest recorded by the Indiana Department of Education since the 2006-2007 school year. Our attendance rate undoubtedly helped with our improved ECA scores as well as our graduation rate. Currently, our attendance rate is at 94%, which is below the state benchmark of 95 percent. Please encourage your students as well as friends and family members that in order for our vision of “Excellence for Everyone” to come to fruition, we need to have our students here every day as well as on time.
If you have or know of an incoming freshman, please be advised that we will host an Open House in conjunction with our Parent/Teacher conferences on March 25. At the Open House, future Wolves and their parents can hear about the wide array of academic and extra-curricular activities that we offer. For the conferences, please contact your student’s teacher by phone or email to set up an appointment. Your student may also bring a note in to the staff member and schedule a conference as well.
