Washington Stage Theatre Hosting Open Auditions for “Murder at Meadow Place”

Washington-Stage-TheatreThe Washington Stage Theatre of La Porte will have open auditions for a new comedy, "Murder at Meadow Place" on Monday, September 15 at 6:30 pm at the theatre at 111 Roosevelt Street, in La Porte, IN. The play will be performed the first two weekends of November, 2014.

This new comedy is about Dan Mason, who is a beginning movie screenwriter. After unsuccessfully trying to peddle his new murder mystery movie screenplay to everyone, everywhere, he gets the idea to convert the script to a stage play, use all his friends for actors, and then film the play. Chaos ensues! This play will actually be filmed, ... so, actors will be credited both as a stage actor and a movie actor. Two for the price of one! The cast is as follows:

FRED CRESTON: DAN's ex boss, a warehouse owner
CARMELLA: a Mexican-American waitress
SAM: an out of work actor
LINDSEY: a waitress who doesn't like CARMELLA
HARLEY: an ex tailor, who likes to make costumes
COACH BECKLEY: a high school baseball coach, from Australia
CINDY BECKLEY: the coach's wife, & middle school drama director.
