“My wife and I and two other couples were in your wonderful community on Sept. 6, 7, and 8th. We traveled from Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma to attend the Notre Dame-Purdue football game. We stayed at the Best Western Hotel & Conference Center. I would be amiss if I didn't express to you and your fine City the courtesy and friendliness of the people we encountered.
We dined at Portofino's and Enzo's and had the best food and service we've all had for a long, long time. I must say, you have many things to be proud of in your city and surrounding areas, most of all, the people who call Laporte home. The six of us thank all of the people in your home town for making our visit most enjoyable and unforgettable.”
