USDA 2014 Summer Food Service Sites Announced

mcasMichigan City Area Schools is participating in the USDA’s 2014 Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows:

OPEN SITES – (Meals available to all children 18 years of age and younger)

Emmett Wise/Neighborhood Center (1702 E Michigan Blvd), June 16 – July 25: Breakfast 8:00 – 8:30 a.m., Lunch 12:00 – 12:30 p.m.

Lake Hills Elementary School (201 Ferguson), June 16 – July 24: Breakfast 8:00 – 8:30 a.m., Lunch 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. (Monday – Thursday only)

Lakeland Estates (226 Merrihill - Community Center), June 23 - August 7: Breakfast, 9:00 – 9:30 a.m.; Lunch 11:45 - 12:15 p.m.

Michigan City High School (8466 Pahs Road), June 23 – July 25: Breakfast 7:00 – 7:30 a.m., Lunch 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. (Monday – Thursday only)

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church (123 Helen Street), June 16 – August 8: Breakfast 8:00 – 8:30 a.m., Lunch 11:00 – 11:30 p.m.

Madelyn & George Smrt Center (301 Grant Street), June 16 – July 25: Breakfast 8:00 – 8:30 a.m., Lunch 12:30 – 1:00 p.m.

Whammy’s Wonder Camp (101 Village Road), June 16 – August 8: Breakfast 9:00 – 9:30 a.m., Lunch 12:00 – 12:30 p.m.

Emmanuel Baptist Church (820 Eastwood) July 21 – July 25: Dinner, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. No breakfast or lunch.

Barker Woods Enrichment Center (3200 Cleveland), June 16 – August 8: No breakfast, Lunch 11:30 – 12:30 p.m.

Community Children’s Choir (121 W 9th Street), July 7 – July 11: Breakfast 8:00 – 8:30 a.m., Lunch 12:00 – 12:30 p.m.

Michigan City Public Library (100 E. 4th St.), June 16 – June 20; No Breakfast, Lunch 12:00 – 12:30 p.m.

Washington Park – Youth Leadership (City Hall – EOC Room), June 23 – June 27: Breakfast 8:30 – 9:00 a.m., Lunch 11:30 – 12:00 p.m.
