Uptown Art District First Friday Art Walk Continues September 6th

Michigan-City-Mainstreet-AssociationThe Michigan City Mainstreet Association presents the First Friday Art Walk in the Uptown Arts District on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm. The Art Walk features several businesses hosting an array of artists and entertainment for free enjoyment for visitors.

The Washington Park Zoological Society, celebrating Member’s Appreciation Night, will be hosting works of art by their in-house artisans: the animals. Darling, a women’s boutique located at 418 Franklin, will be hosting mural artist Deb Henderson. Walnut Ink Gallery, 607 Franklin, will be hosting craftsman Jon Claeys and his handmade guitars along with area musicians on tap for live demonstrations of the artwork. Trinity Episcopal Church will host blues band The Oblates of Blues from Notre Dame.
