Unity Foundation of La Porte County is accepting applications online for its 2021 Community “Power for Good” Grants through Friday, July 23, 2021.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations located in, or serving La Porte County residents. In addition, churches may request funds for non-religious purposes, such as community programs or projects. Governmental bodies, including townships and fire districts, as well as educational institutions, are also eligible. Interested applicants are encouraged to review the information available on Unity’s website, https://uflc.net/grants/community-grants/, prior to beginning an application.
Community “Power for Good” Grants are made possible because of generous donors who are interested in investing in the well-being of our county. A committee of dedicated volunteers from throughout the county evaluates and awards grants of up to $3,000 each for projects that strengthen La Porte County in meaningful ways. In 2020, Unity awarded nearly $150,000 to worthwhile projects and programs in the arts, the environment, health and human services, education, and community development through the Community Fund Grant process.
