Two-Thirds of the Michigan City Salvation Army Major Building Repairs Fund Raised

Salvation-Army-Fund-Match-2015The Michigan City Salvation Army Major Building Repairs Fund under Unity Foundation of La Porte County is two-thirds toward its goal to raise $7,500 in matching donations. Through year-end, a generous anonymous donor is matching contributions to help support big projects, such as repairing the food pantry floor when that area faced closure from the health department.

From left, Salvation Army Office Manager Crystal Parker and Terrance Fry from Maintenance stock shelves in the pantry that has fed more than 3,000 persons each month in 2015. Donations may be mailed to Unity Foundation, PO Box 527, Michigan City, IN 46361, with “Salvation Army Match” in the check memo line.
