Two Lady Blazers Named Academic All Conference

marquette-catholic-logoMarquette Catholic High School Athletic Director, Mr. Anthony Mytas, announces today that seniors, Elizabeth Bobillo and Sydney Mussman, have been named Academic All-Conference for the Greater South Shore Conference.

In order to be considered for this honor the student-athlete must be a senior with a minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.4, score at least a 1515 on the SAT or at least a 22 on the ACT.

Marquette-bball-all-conference-bethElizabeth Bobillo is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Douglas Bobillo. She is a graduate of Notre Dame Catholic Elementary School in Michigan City. At Marquette Catholic, Beth was a member of the volleyball and the tennis teams for two years and the basketball team for three years and, this year, was a member of the golf team. She is a Student Ambassador for four years and a member of Student Government for three years and was involved in several theatrical performances with Marquette’s Drama Club. She also participates in Marquette’s Adventure Club activities. Beth traveled to Give Kids the World Village, in Kissimmee, Florida, this past fall on a mission trip with her classmates. This spring, she will be traveling to Spain with Marquette’s International Club. Beth will be attending Purdue University/West Lafayette in the fall and plans to study athletic training.

Marquette-bball-all-conference-sydSydney Mussman is the daughter of Mr. Rhys Mussman and Mrs. Sally Mussman. She is a graduate of Notre Dame Catholic Elementary School in Michigan City. At Marquette Catholic, Sydney was a member of the soccer and basketball teams for four years and softball for one year. She is a Student Ambassador and a member of Student Government, National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society. Sydney has also been part of the Drama Club. She has twice received the Presidential Service Award. Sydney traveled, with her classmates, to Give Kids the World Village, in Kissimmee, Florida, this past fall and to Birmingham, Alabama for Habitat for Humanity last spring. This spring, she will be traveling to Spain with Marquette’s International Club. Sydney plans to attend either San Diego State University or the University of Southern California. She is still deciding on her intended major.
