Regional Care Group: Improving life in the Region, one client at a time
For many years, the human services organization Regional Care Group has provided individuals and families living in Northwest Indiana with a vast selection of programs and resources that help improve their quality of life. Regional Care Group was formed through the partnership of three human service entities: Geminus, which offers social service resources; Lake Park Residential, which provides residential services and treatment for its clients; and Regional Health Systems, which offers clients both primary care and behavioral health care services.
Region gathers for 6th annual Play for Jake/Bolt for the Heart walk/run to raise money for AEDs
Heart health affects everyone, and therefore, everyone should be prepared to protect themselves in the case of a cardiac event. This is why people from across the Region gathered to join the Play for Jake/Bolt for the Heart walk/run, which raises funds for automatic external defibrillator (AED) donations.
Play for Jake Foundation and Bolt for the Heart have teamed up to put on this year’s race in La Porte on Saturday, July 27 at Fox Memorial Park’s Dennis F. Smith Amphitheater. The race began on Truesdale Avenue between Hoelocker Drive and McClung Road at 8 a.m.

Beginning this year, Associated Pediatricians has partnered with Purdue University Northwest (PNW) to take part in Northwest Indiana Identification and Management of Pediatric Experience of Trauma and Underlying Stress (IMPETUS), which is implementing routine screenings and in-office interventions for childhood traumatic stress.
