Three Purdue University Northwest Representatives Named as Finalists for 2016 Influential Women of Northwest Indiana Award

PNW-Influential-Women-Collage-2016Three Purdue University Northwest representatives have been named as finalists for the 2016 Influential Women of Northwest Indiana award.

The Influential Women of Northwest Indiana event honors established leaders as well as up-and-coming professionals who are making a difference in the businesses, industries, and communities in and around Northwest Indiana. The awards are presented in 11 categories - Business, Construction, Economic Development, Education, Finance, Government, Healthcare, Law, Marketing/Media, Non-Profit and Service/Tourism.

The finalists from PNW are:

  • Karen Bishop Morris, of Hammond, associate professor of English and interim head of English, nominated in the Education – Up and Coming category.
  • Lisa Hopp, of Valparaiso, dean of the College of Nursing. Nominated in the Education – Influential category.
  • Kris Falzone, Schererville, associate vice chancellor, Marketing and Communications, nominated in the Marketing/Media – Influential category.

Awards will be announced Thursday, Sept. 29.
