Thaddeus C. Gallery in La Porte Celebrates 10 Years in Business

The_Thaddeus_C__Gallery_in_La_Porte_cele-1Thaddeus C. Gallery Celebrates 10 Years with Small Works Show Fine Art galleries can survive in Northwest Indiana! In 2004, the Thaddeus C. Gallery opened in a small 2nd floor space in Downtown La Porte. After two years in business they were ready to expand. In 2007, they purchase the "Droege Building" home to Droege's clothing for 89 years. This month they celebrate 10 years in business and will host FOOT LONG: the 4th Biennial Small Works Exhibition. In this exhibition no work of art can be larger than 12 inches in any direction. " This is one our favorite exhibits. It a chance to purchase affordable works by fantastic artists, whether you're an avid art collector or someone who has never owned a work of art, but would love to!" says Laura Cutler, co-owner of the Thaddeus C. Gallery.

The exhibition will feature many artists from the Northwest Indiana region, as well as national and international artists represented by the gallery. Included are Harry Ahn, Lee Bauman, Dawn Diamantopoulos, Dave Hay, Gregg Hertzlieb, Robert Johnson, Amanda Jozaitis, Deborah Landry, Alan Larkin, Valerie Taglieri, Melissa Washburn, Mikio Watanabe, Ron Wennekes, and Fotios Zemenides, Works by both Thaddeus and Laura Cutler will also be on display. The opening reception is Friday, December 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibit will continue until January 10, 2015, and is free to attend.
