Harmony House/CASA Program of La Porte County, Inc. Encourages Individuals to Make a Lifelong Difference for Local Children on November 2, 2012
On Friday, November 2, Harmony House/CASA Program of La Porte County, Inc. invites you to make a lifelong difference for abused or neglected children in our community. Harmony House/CASA is hosting The Red Shoe Party - their 18th Annual Wine & Food Tasting to raise both program awareness and needed funds to continue their efforts to support local children currently caught in the court and child welfare system.
This year’s participant’s include: Arturo’s Baked Goods and More, Cabo’s Ice Cream Shop & Café, Cyrano’s Farm Kitchen- Chef Didier Durand, Four Horseman Brewing Company, Great Lakes Catering and Special Events, India House, Ivy Tech Community College – Hospitality Department, John’s Package Liquor Store, Journeyman Distillery, Maple City Roasters, Olga’s Place, Rodini’s Restaurant, Sahara Restaurant, Shady Creek Winery, Shoreline Brewery, Spire – Farm to Fork Cuisine and Water’s Edge Restaurant. This year’s event is made possible by the generous support of IU Health La Porte Hospital.

Event: 18th Annual Food & Wine Tasting
Time: 6 – 10 PM
Location: The La Porte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge Street, La Porte, IN
There are many new additions to this year’s event. Along with silent auction items, the live auction includes three unforgettable experiences: a trip for two to enjoy Napa Valley’s Wine Country; a trip for two to travel as VIPs to Sonoma’s Wine Country; and a chance to ride with an Indy racecar driver at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Grace Tarnow, this year’s 2012 Hoosier Star winner of the youth division, will be performing. Also during the program, the winning ticket will be drawn for the casa for CASAs – playhouse. Final sales of tickets for the playhouse will be available at the event.

The annual Wine and Food Tasting Event helps Harmony House/CASA raise funds to recruit CASA volunteers who advocate for safe, permanent homes for abused and neglected children.” states Karen Biernacki, Executive Director.
