The Marquette Catholic Softball team took the field for their first game of the 2013 season when they made the short trip to Lake Station to take on the Eagles. A young Blazer squad came out and held their own early on. However, in the third inning the Eagles were able to make a run that opened the game up for the host team. The Blazers made a small run in the fifth inning, but it wasn't enough as the Blazers lost 1-17.
The Blazer softball team returns to action April 9 when they travel to New Prairie. Opening pitch is scheduled for 4:30. To find out more about Marquette Catholic High School, click here!
