À la Carte is a series of unique and interesting dinners and events hosted in and around La Porte County, taking place from May to December. Patrons are encouraged to purchase entire parties or individual places at as many parties as they would like. One hundred percent of all funds raised from reservations benefit the LCSO directly and are partially tax-deductible. À la Carte provides a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, enjoy entertainment, experience fine cuisine, and the chance to visit some of the most beautiful private homes and properties in and around La Porte County. À la Carte events are hosted by gracious LCSO supporters and present you with a variety of dining options from an authentic "New England Clam Bake" to a country "Hoedown on the Farm," a bus trip to Frederik Meijer Botanical Gardens and a guaranteed spot for pre-Holiday Pops Concert fun!

"After a very successful first year, the À La Carte Committee has planned some new and really wonderful dinners and excursions for people in La Porte County and beyond to enjoy", said Tim King, Interim Executive Director of the LCSO. À la Carte is open to anyone wishing for a new dining experience while at the same time giving support to the LCSO. Remember, reservations are 50% tax-deductible.

The first event, Cinco de Mayo, will take place this Tuesday, May 5, 6:00 p.m. at Spire Farm-to-Fork Cuisine, 299 West Johnson Road in La Porte, IN. From the appetizer to dessert, and everything in between, Chef Brad Hindsley will show you how to cook a delicious meal, using only the finest ingredients from local sources. This cooking demonstration event features a four-course meal, wine and sassy flavor. ¡Vamos a la fiesta!
