The Footlight Players Present: A Night at the Opera

Footlight-Night-at-the-OperaA black tie optional event combining the talents and resources of Monday Musicale of Michigan City and the Footlight Players will be presented to commemorate the end of National Music Week. Two performances Sat. May 10, at 8:00 P.M. and Sun. May 11, 2:00 P.M., on the Footlight Stage, 1705 Franklin St., Mich. City. Lee Meyer, music director and accompanist, has put together a diversified program of opera from 15 different composers. Some of the selections in original languages, (Italian, French, German, Russian) and some in English.

Composers are Bizet, Boito, Borodin, Cilea, Donizetti, Gounod, Leoncavallo, Mascagni, Mozart, Offenbach, Ponchiella, Puccini, Tchaikowsky, Verdi and Wagner. Selections will include choruses, duets, trios, and individual arias. Those performing are Deborah Beien, Howard Brenneman, Noel Carlson, Frank Casorio, Kathy Chase, Robert Dure, Alicia Ebaugh, Kathi R. Jones, Marge LaMothe, Donna Mitchell, Richard Percifield, Sheila Pollock, Pat Potratz, Karol Valek, Carrie Zerbe, and Lori Zylstra.
