The First Friday Art Walk in the Uptown Arts District Boast Ice Sculptures & Interactive Art for February

Michigan-City-Mainstreet-AssociationThe First Friday Art Walk in the Uptown Arts District, presented by the Michigan City Mainstreet Association, has proven to be a great monthly event of culture, art and entertainment. The Art Walk, this month on February 7 from 5pm to 8pm, is no exception and will offer additional entertainment with a live ice sculpture presentation. Ice Sculptures will also be created on the following Saturday, February 8th throughout the District for the public to enjoy.

As businesses remain open late that Friday, the public is invited to come and enjoy the many art forms and walk the shops. Walnut Ink Projects, at 607 Franklin, will be hosting an opportunity for participants to create their own mixed-media art form. For more information and to purchase tickets for the BUILT event at Walnut Ink Projects, visit www.walnutinkgallery.com.

For those interested in perhaps living in the Uptown Arts District, there will also be an open house that evening of Uptown loft living at 731 Franklin Street. The First Friday Art Walk is always a great opportunity to discover new shops, art, and the growing vibrancy of downtown Michigan City.
