The Brooks at Vale Park welcomes first residents as development nears completion

The Brooks at Vale Park, one of the newest residential developments in Porter County, is set to welcome its first residents.

Among the new homeowners at The Brooks is Margie Rodriguez. Rodriguez was excited to move into her dream home in this beautiful community.

Rodriguez had been searching for a home that offered everything she wanted and The Brooks was the perfect fit. Looking for a home that was close to family, friends, and centrally located, Rodriguez was thrilled to join The Brooks community.

Rodriguez has envisioned her dream house for a long time. In fact, she had a vision of what she wanted back in 1995, and she even drew a little sketch of it. When Rodriguez met the builders at Steiner Homes, she discovered that they had a model very similar to what she had in mind.

Working alongside the local builders, Rodriguez and Steiner Homes modified the model to fit her vision for a multigenerational home to accommodate her elderly parents. She is excited about the peace and proximity that her home in The Brooks provides.

This peace and quiet is essential to Rodriguez’s interests. Rodriguez is a talented musician who writes and records music in her home studio. Active in the local music scene, she frequently performs at open mic nights throughout Northwest Indiana.

Rodriguez also has a master's degree in social work and worked for the Department of Child Services for 25 years.

Rodriguez is excited to be a part of The Brooks community and looks forward to meeting her new neighbors. She is grateful to the Steiner Family, Zach Robinson, Julie Szara, Vince Carullo of Diamond Mortgage and Andrew Knies of Brokerworks, who were all there for her along the way.

The Brooks at Vale Park offers an ideal combination of nature and city amenities that provide residents with privacy and peace while being close to the downtown amenities that Valparaiso has to offer.

Set among 50+ acres of preserved green space, The Brooks features three miles of natural trails and a native butterfly garden. Additionally, The Brooks includes two lakes, cascading streams, and established woods.

Included in its unique design, The Brooks boasts five distinctive neighborhoods–each offering homes for all lifestyles. Five homes have already been completed, with another 13 beginning construction and more than 57 lots accounted for.

Hoping to create a true community feel, residents of The Brooks can anticipate access to a future community pool. The pool is set to feature zero-entry zones and family-friendly entertainment. Additionally, residents can gather and host celebrations at the clubhouse.
