The Arts Are on Fire for the Uptown Trick or Treat

Fire-ArtDuring the Uptown Trick or Treat in Downtown Michigan City, Saturday October 27th following the Boo at the Zoo, fire dancers will be live from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. This special event is brought to you by the Michigan City Mainstreet Association, a local nonprofit and Indiana Mainstreet program dedicated to the revitalization and preservation of the Uptown Arts District.

The fire dancers are coming from all over the Chicagoland region to give two hours of performances during the Uptown Arts District Halloween event. The Arts on Fire will be showcasing work of several fire art dancers.

Ryan's Irish Pub, 401 Franklin Street, will have a Bank of Horrors Haunted Second Level also sponsored by Mystic Investigations and the Michigan City Zombie Group. The Bank of Horrors runs from 7pm to 11pm, 6pm to 10pm on October 20th and 26th and 6pm to 9pm on October 31st. There is a $3.00 entry fee for the Bank of Horrors. On top of the Uptown Trick or Treat and the very special surprise from 7:30pm to 8:30pm downtown, Ryan's will also be hosting Bed Races between 5th and 4th streets on Franklin. The Bed Races is a free event for all with cash prizes for the fastest bed pushers.

Businesses that are participating in the Downtown Trick or Treat include The Black Eyed P, Walnut Ink Gallery, Global Land Surveying, Craighead, Lange & Hough(Table in 600 to 700 block of Franklin Street), Darling, Revive Consignments, Maxine’s, Urban Soles, The Closet by Franklin Vintage, Arturo’s Baked Goods (Handing out candy downtown), Christ Church, and General Insurance Services.
