This last week, Al’s Market East and West, partnered with the Salvation Army of LaPorte to sponsor “Stuff a Bus”. This program was a great success thanks to the generosity of the people of LaPorte. Bags of groceries with the value of approximately $10, were offered at a discounted price of $5 to the store patrons. 415 bags were purchased by the public! These bags were then transported by a “bus” to Salvation Army and they will be unpacked and go to restock the food pantry shelves. We also received $300 in meat vouchers. All of these donations will be given to needy families in our community. We want to thank our community and Al’s for your generosity.
