Steel Sculptures, Steamroller Prints, Demonstrations & Music Highlight September First Friday Art Walk

Uptown-Arts-DistrictThe Michigan City Mainstreet Association presents the First Friday Art Walk in the Uptown Arts District on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm. The Art Walk features many businesses hosting an array of artists and entertainment for free enjoyment for visitors.

Browse steel work of Artist Jim Smeltzer featured at Revive Consignments, Hoity-Toity hosts “Drawings from the Past” using charcoal and graphite from Suzanna Watson. Find handmade wood, weaving, and scarf creations at Urban Soles. Walk amongst the lovely blooming gardens of the Barker Mansion, make wrapping paper at Trinity Episcopal Church, view Giant Steamroller prints at Walnut Ink Projects and much, much more!

The Art Walk is not only for art spectators, as visitors will find Rusty Strings acoustic band at Beach Bum Jewels, Journeyman Distillery at Indiana Pickers, and Open Stage night plus music by Blake Vissing & Leah Goodall at the Mainstreet Theatre.
