Stan Trim is Franciscan St. Anthony Health “Ambassador of the Month” for March

stan-trimStan Trim, a plumber in the Maintenance Department, has been selected the March Ambassador of the Month at Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City.

The award, which has been ongoing since 1988, is presented by the hospital’s Social and Recognition Committee and recognizes employees who exhibit the mission and values of Franciscan Alliance – compassion for those in need, respect for life and the dignity of mankind, wellness and prevention of illness, restoration to health and acceptance of death as the final step toward wholeness. Recipients also have demonstrated courtesy, the proper attitude and enthusiasm for the work.

Trim, a 23-year-plus employee, was nominated by a coworker, who touted his “exceptional attention to detail,” smile, and positive attitude, among his attributes.

“Besides the maintenance aspect and the upkeep of the building, Stan continues Christ’s ministry through his compassion and respect for others. His professionalism and dedication is shown every day by his quality of service that shows to everyone he comes into contact with, whether an employee, or a patient,” the nominator said.

Trim also was called a great teacher who possesses “vast knowledge of plumbing, welding, etc., and shares his knowledge with others.”

Trim and wife, Pam, reside in Portage and are parents to five children.

When he’s not working at the hospital, Trim enjoys bicycling and motorcycling.

In recognition of his honor, Trim, as are all Ambassador recipients, was honored with a special billboard display for the month, a privileged parking spot, an Ambassador badge holder, a photo on the Ambassador of the Month wall that displays the previous 12 months’ winners, $150 cash and an invitation to the annual Service Awards and Recognition Banquet that takes place in May.
