St. Mary Medical Center recently welcomed several new practitioners to the Community Care Network, Inc. – the physician and health professional group affiliated with St. Mary Medical Center and Community Healthcare System hospitals. The new practitioners join the providers of Innovative Women’s Health, with offices in Hobart, Portage, Winfield, Merrillville and Valparaiso.
Joining the team are two certified nurse midwives (CNM), Tina Crum, CNM, MSN, and Stacy Hendershott, CNM, MSN. Certified nurse midwives are advanced practice registered nurses who provide a variety of care to women during their reproductive years, including pre-conception, pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care, along with routine gynecological services.
Crum brings more than 15 years of experience in labor and delivery to her new role. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University Calumet. Crum will see patients in Portage and Valparaiso.
Hendershott brings more than 16 years of experience in labor and delivery to her new role. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University and her Associate of Science in Nursing from Purdue University North Central. Hendershott will see patients in Merrillville, Winfield and Portage.
Also joining the Innovative Women’s Health team is women’s health nurse practitioner Megan Doheny, WHNP-BC. Doheny joins Dr. Travis Haldeman in practice at his Hobart, Portage and Merrillville offices. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lewis University.
