Southern Shore Art Association Announces Fundraiser Art Book Sale

Fundraiser-Art-Book-SaleOffering bargain prices on books and periodicals on art history, art instruction, photography, sculpture, interior design, ceramics, jewelry, needlework and travel, the Southern Shore Art Association Gallery will feature a special sale to benefit their continued art education for special needs students from local schools. The proceeds will also help support the yearly exhibition of these students’ artworks.

The Art Book Sale will run concurrently through the month-long “Summer of Art” exhibition, an annual event at the SSAA Gallery. The exhibition opens on First Friday, July 5, 5-8pm (CT) and runs through Sunday the 28th of July. Visitors are invited to meet SSAA member artists and enjoy SSAA’s hospitality in the historic Uptown Arts District on that evening. Open Gallery hours are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 12noon – 5pm.

People wishing to donate books in good condition are invited to bring them to the Gallery during open hours prior to the sale. A receipt for all donations will be available for tax purposes.
