South Shore CVA Receives Award of Excellence from Videographer Awards

NewSouthShoreCVA-logoThe South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority received an Award of Excellence from the 2014 Videographer Awards.

The South Shore CVA’s winning entry, a stop motion video series titled “How Tourism Benefits a Community,” highlights how restaurants, hotels, gaming, conventions and sporting events impact a community. The Videographer Awards received approximately 1,500 entries throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, Thailand, India, Denmark and Indonesia. Twelve percent of all entries in the Videographer Awards received an Award of Excellence, while 14 percent received the Award of Distinction. The South Shore CVA’s video series was the only entry from Indiana to receive an Award of Excellence, the Videographer Award’s top honor.

Videographer Awards is an international competition that recognizes individuals and companies in the video production field. Entrants include video production companies, advertising and public relations firms, corporate communication departments, cable and broadcast television operations, government agencies and schools, independent producers and wedding and special event producers.

Judges for the Videographer Awards are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
