The Lady Satellites Basketball team held their 4th annual fundraising event over Thanksgiving break. Due to the outstanding effort on behalf of all players, they raised enough money to donate $1,000.00 to the United Supplementary Food Pantry (The Hanna Food Bank). The team presented the check between the junior varsity and varsity home game against Wheeler on December 18, 2013.
Also, in the season of giving, there was an unidentified fan of the Lady Satellites who issued a check to the United Supplementary Food Pantry for another $1,000.00 on behalf of the team. The South Central girls basketball team would like to thank everyone who participated in our fundraising activity as it just shows that teamwork can be achieved both on and off the basketball court.
