The Solid Waste District of La Porte County has a position open on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee. The term of this position is 2 years. The meetings for CAC are held every other month/six times per year. The purpose and charge of the Advisory Committee is to investigate, debate, and recommend to the Solid Waste District Board any solid waste issue, either assigned to it by the Board, or self-initiated with focuses on methods to accomplish the goals of the current Strategic Plan.
