So Much to Do along the South Shore this Fall 2016

It’s that time of year again when the air becomes a little more crisp and the days start getting a little shorter. We put away our shorts and t-shirts for jackets and jeans but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a ton of great things going on along the South Shore this time of year.

The fall season is one of the best times of the year to experience the beauty of the South Shore. One of the best spots to get a great view of the seasonal color changing trees is along the winding trails and hills of the Indiana Dunes’ West Beach. Don’t forget your camera to get pictures of the natural beauty of the Region!

Take a drive along the lakefront or bike one of the many trails to see the beautiful fall colors of the Indiana Dunes.

There’s one thing that many people look forward to every fall - orchard season! Check out all that the South Shore has to offer from pumpkins to pick your own apples at one of Northwest Indiana’s u-picks and orchards. From apple picking and cider to corn mazes and hayrides , the South Shore’s got plenty of attractions for visitors and orchard-lovers to enjoy, as well as plenty of hands-on activities and special events.

If you’re a lover of popcorn, pumpkins or a good scare there are plenty of fall festivals and events along the South Shore that continue into the fall season that provide a wide range of outdoor activities and family fun.
