Seitz Announces Retirement from La Porte Chamber

Mike-SeitzMichael B. Seitz, IOM, President of the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce, has announced that he will retire from his position effective December 31, 2016. Seitz will be completing his fifteenth year as the President of the Chamber. Seitz stated that during those fifteen years, with the assistance of many fine Chamber and LEAF board members and an excellent staff, that the Chamber had accomplished so much and had developed into an exceptional organization, representing the interest of the members and the community. The Chamber has been through three accreditation processes through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce since Seitz has been president. The organization has received two 4-stars ratings and one 5-star rating most recently. Because of these ratings, the La Porte Chamber is in an elite class of Chambers. Seitz mentioned the evolution of the program of works over the past fifteen years and its strengths in providing programs and services for members as a reason for the success in the accreditation process.

Seitz stated that it has been an honor for him to serve the Chamber and expressed his appreciation to the Board for allowing him to serve as the President of the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce. Seitz also said, “A special thank you is also deserved to the community for their kindness shown to me and my family that made living in La Porte one of the greatest experiences of my life.”
