Join the Water Safety Team
The largest team at Deep River, the Water Safety Team has the important task of making sure guests can safely enjoy all of the attractions at the waterpark. If you’re a strong swimmer looking to put your talents to good use protecting the community, becoming a lifeguard on the Water Safety Team is right for you!
Deep River is a StarGuard Elite facility, meaning the lifeguards poolside have undergone some serious training. In order to become a lifeguard at Deep River, applicants must be able to swim 50 yards without stopping with a rescue tube across their chest, tread water for a minute without the use of their hands, and retrieve at least a 10lb weighted object from the bottom of the pool.
Deep River lifeguards are able to receive paid training so long as they qualify for StarGuard Elite certification. Not sure you’re a strong enough swimmer to be a lifeguard? You can still help ensure the safety of park guests by becoming a slide attendant!
Lifeguards must be 15 years or older by 5/24/2025. Slide attendants must be 16 years old.
Work with guests
In order for every guest to have a splashtastic experience during their visit, Deep River is always looking for people who put service first. From greeting guests at the gates when collecting tickets and working with large groups to delivering delicious food and making shopping at the Surf Shop simple, being a front-facing service worker at Deep River gives you the chance to meet tons of people in your community and beyond.
To succeed in any of these positions, applicants should be outgoing and willing to help guests with a variety of concerns. Some roles also require simple payment handling skills. If you’re looking for something fast-paced that will help you develop a variety of skills quickly, working for one of Deep River’s guest-serving teams could be the move for you.
