A majority of the Runnin' For Prestin and All Kids Board went down to Indianapolis on Thursday, February 12th, 2015 to present Riley’s Children Hospital with a check for $10,000.00 for Pediatric Cancer Research.
While at Riley’s Children Hospital, Prestin and his parents had a recheck. Shortly after the presentation the Butcher family was informed that Prestin is still indeed cancer free!We are happy to report that good news.
Presently, Prestin is 14 years old and cancer free. However, he still faces the challenges of what cancer has done to his body and the daily fear of it's return. Through his journey, Prestin's family discovered that very little research dollars goes toward pediatric cancer, less than 4%. Daily 46 children will be diagnosed and 7 children will die from cancer. Prestin's dream is to raise money to go towards pediatric cancer research so that one day-0 children will die and 0 will be diagnosed! Runnin' for Prestin and all the Children made this a reality on Thursday when their donations and support allowed the foundation to make the $10,000 donation to Riley’s Children’s Hospital Cancer Research Fund.
