Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the City of Hammond introduce the coolest club for kid’s this summer, the Kid’s Run Club. All kids ages 6-12 are invited to register for this program taking place on Thursday’s from June 3rd to July 8th at Martin Luther King Park (Highland St. and Tapper Ave. next to City Hall). The supervised program is from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing.
This program is open to residents as well as non-residents of the City of Hammond.
Registration for this event is $40 and is taking place at the Hammond Sportsplex located at 6630 Indianapolis Blvd. This fee provides instruction for the program and includes a snack, an entry to the Festival of the Lakes Roadie Run Kid’s Race and a free t-shirt. Spaces are limited to 25 kids, all of which are required to come wearing a face mask or covering. Registration is open until May 24th.
