rotary logoHighlights from Rotary Meeting November 11, 2013

The group recited the pledge, Mike led the prayer by reading the words to Taps, and the four way test was then recited.

The group welcomed two high school students, who also led us in singing!

Many persons were happy and donated happy $$....Keith will donate every time NPHS wins a football game and will donate $100 when they win the state title!

Mitch did a great job as Sergeant at Arms with Veteran’s Day trivia.

The check in table is covered for November, December, and January – please consider February!

Set-up/Clean up is need of some volunteers – let us know if you can help or sign up online.

Business meeting highlights:

  •   Ted Taylor is gathering an order for Rotarian at Work shirts; please let him know by the next meeting if you would like one so that he can place a group order
  •   The County Home Dinner is Monday, November 25.
  •   Please be sure to sign up online or at next week’s meeting.
  •   The cost is the same as last year – will confirm but believe that is $25 which covers cost of Rotarians and our County Home guests.
  •   The County Home residents are being picked up by TransPorte at 5:00pm so we are hoping Rotarians can arrive near 5pm to greet guests as they arrive.

November is Rotary Foundation Month

Our club has joined with Rotary clubs across the nation to set a goal for every Rotarian to support the Rotary Foundation, and we’re hoping for $100 contribution, knowing that some may not be comfortable with a gift of that amount.   November is a great time to make that commitment.  Every Rotarian who contributes to the Foundation become a part of the team that is doing great things—things that wouldn’t be possible with the support of the Rotary Foundation—in this nation and around the world.  Each of us has gained from our association with Rotary.  Our support for the Rotary Foundation is one of the ways we can give back—and in that process benefit thousands of others who are in need.  Please consider making a $100 gift to the Rotary Foundation.  If that’s too big a stretch, please be as generous as you can.
