Your old, tattered flag can be disposed of with honor and pride. American Legion Post 169 of New Buffalo is gathering used flags to be disposed of at a special flag burning ceremony with full honors on Veteran's Day, Tuesday, November 11th at 11a.m. eastern time. The Honor Squad from the Post will be in full dress uniform and will perform the flag disposal ceremony. If you have an old American flag that needs to be retired, they will dispose of it for you.
Flags can be dropped off until Friday, November 8th at the American Legion Post 169 at 19139 West U.S. Highway 12, New Buffalo, MI 49117. For more information, you may call 269-469-0770.
