Northwest Health – La Porte recently honored Lindsey Morlan, respiratory therapist, with the PETALS award for outstanding support professionals.
Morlan was nominated by a patient’s daughter whose mother was an inpatient at Northwest Health – La Porte with a respiratory illness. In her nomination letter, she shared how Lindsey helped her mother with her breathing and oxygen treatments, and then created a customized respiratory treatment plan that worked well for her mother. She also applauded Lindsey for going above and beyond by taking the time to ensure that her mother understood every aspect of her care.
In her letter thanking Lindsey for her compassionate care, she wrote, “Lindsey was extremely patient and kind. She is a true gen.”
"I'm proud to congratulate Lindsey on receiving the PETALS Award, a well-deserved recognition of her outstanding professionalism and compassion,” said Simon Ratliff, Chief Executive Officer for Northwest Health – La Porte and Starke. “Her commitment to excellence truly embodies our hospital's mission – to help people get well and live healthier.”
