Representatives of Women in Leadership La Porte County stopped by the A. K. Smith Career Center on Wednesday, October 12, to present $500 in support of the Center's "N.E.W" (Nontraditional Employment for Women) Conference. More than 200 middle-school age girls from across the county will attend the N.E.W. Conference on October 18, learning about careers in which women are traditionally under-represented.
