Join South Shore Clean Cities, Inc. (SSCC) for its 2014 annual meeting Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CST at Avalon Manor Banquet Center, 3550 E. U.S. 30, Merrillville, Ind.
SSCC will celebrate the successes of its members and partner organizations; and recognize Northern Indiana’s top overall alternative fuel users, distributors and supporters.
In addition, Carl Lisek, Executive Director for SSCC, said there will be an important announcement made at this year’s meeting regarding an upcoming alternative fuel enhancement.
“South Shore Clean Cities and its members are making history in Northern Indiana,” said Lisek. “We want to share this exciting opportunity with as many people as possible.”
The event, which attracted more than 200 people and 22 vendors last year, offers a unique opportunity for community members, leaders and industry partners to network and discuss the latest advancements in alternative fuels and emissions reduction initiatives.
Special guest, Andrew Burnham of Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, Ill., will introduce new tools to help fleets go green.
SSCC is a nonprofit organization, sponsored through a U.S. Department of Energy program, formed to encourage partnerships that help improve air quality, develop regional economic opportunities and reduce the use of imported oil.
