With the recent retirement of Chief Tom Owens the department has had some movement in three vital administration positions. Assistant Chief Julie Smith was officially appointed to the position of Chief of Police. Sergeant Brett Airy was officially appointed to the position of Assistant Chief. Sergeant Jim Ferguson was appointed to the position of Chief Of Detectives. With Chief Owens retiring this also allowed for promotions of two additional officers. Corporal Nate Thode was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Detective Vic Aguilar was promoted to the rank of Corporal. We would like to congratulate everyone with their recent promotions within the department.
